Bob Herbert Bonte (Amsterdam, August 1, 1929 - Amstelveen, September 3, 1988) was a Dutch top swimmer.
Bonte represented the Netherlands as a school slayer once at the Olympic Games: London in 1948. At that tournament, Bonte, in his daily life worked as a hairdresser in his native Amsterdam, reached the eighth place in the final of the 200-meter school stroke. In the same year he saw a world record swim on the incourant 400 meter school stroke. With that performance he was Dutch first world record holder in swimming. However, the record did not last a year. In 1949, the world swimming pool Bontes abolished the peak time of the books.
