Cercaphus was one of the Heliadae, sons of Helios and Rhode in Greek mythology. Together with his brother Ochimus, he stayed on the island of Rhodes after their brother Tenages was killed by the remaining four sons, and they had to flee. Ochimus, the eldest of the seven brothers, became the king of Rhodes.

Cercaphus married the daughter of Ochimus, Cydippe (or Cyrbia), and consequently inherited the island. In an alternative version of the story, Ochimus married his daughter to Ocridion, but Cercaphus abducted her because he fell in love with Cydippe. They did not return until Ochimus became old.

Cercaphus and Cydippe received three sons, Lindus, Ialysus and Camirus. After the death of their father, they divided the island into three parts, where they each founded a city bearing their name (the modern cities of Lindus, Ialyssos and Kameiros).
