Khuang Abhaiwongse (Thai: ควง อภัย วงศ์) (Pratabong, current Cambodia, at that time part of Thailand, May 17, 1902 - March 15, 1968) was a Thai politician.

Khuang received his basic training from Khun Uthairaja - Phakdi, a cousin of his mother. Then he went to the Thepsirind school. He studied at the Assumption college in Bangkok and later civil engineering at the Ecole Chantal in Lyon France. After graduating, he returned to Thailand and was hired as an engineer at the Department of Posts and Telegraphs. During the war he was promoted to major and he was appointed a member of the royal guard. He was minister in the government of Field Marshal Plaek Pibul Songkram. On 1 August 1944 he was appointed Prime Minister for the first time. During this period he had, among other things, the difficult task of making peace with the Allies.

After his resignation, he founded the Democratic Party and won the elections on January 6, 1946. On April 8, 1948, he was forced to resign by a military coup. However, he remained in politics and was leader of the opposition and the Democratic Party. family
