The Order of Good Hope is an 1973 award of the Republic of South Africa. The ribbon is green with two wide yellow stripes. This knight order was granted only to strangers and was thought for "earnings for South Africa and promoting international relations". The Dutch queen Beatrix is Grootkruis in this order, including Margaretha II of Denmark. The Belgian carriers belonged to Léon Rochtus.
In the 1980s - 1988 the order was also awarded to South African citizens.
