In the hours of noon

In the hours of noon is the second studio album of Rob de Nijs from 1973. History

In 1970, Rob de Nijs and Lennaert Nijgh met when they collaborated with the musical Salvation. Both agreed to continue cooperation. The plate with Nijgh lyrics meant a comeback for De Nijs. Boudewijn de Groot produced the album and wrote the music for most of the songs. Three songs were composed by Astrid Nijgh, the then wife of Lennaert Nijgh. Malle Babbe, Jan Klaassen the trumpeter and Day sister Ursula became Top 40 hits.

On the album is also the song The evening. Boudewijn de Groot took on the evening itself in 1996 and achieved the first place in the Top 2000 in 2005. The version of De Nijs has a different arrangement and some text adjustments. Boudewijn de Groot would record more songs from the record in his own repertoire. Thus he played If you can not go further and Leonardo on the CD Other tour. The song Day Sister Ursula played De Groot on the Gala of the Dutch song in honor of De Nijs. Malle Babbe even grew into permanent value in De Groot's liver poetry and is found on De Groot's live albums. Tracklist
