Ljudmila Rudenko
Ljoedmila Vladimirovna Roedenko (Russisch: Lyudmila Vladimirovna Rudenko, Oekraїens: Lyudmila Vladimirovna Rudenko) (Loebni (Poltava, Okebrain), July 27 [OS 15 Juli] 1904 - Leningrad, May 5, 1986) was a Russian bandwoman en grootmeister in het schaken voor vrouwen.
Her father taught her chess when she was 10 years old, but her love first went out for swimming. It was only in 1925 when she lived in Leningrad, she explained to the schaaksport. In 1944, she became Leningrad's champion, in 1950 she became a women's champion and won the tournament for the World Women's Chess Championship. In 1952 she lost that title by losing a match against Jelizaveta Bykova. In 1976 she became a women's grandmother. She wore the Soviet Union Sign.
Grigori Löwenfisch was one of her trainers.
The Ludmila Roedenko Memorial was held in 2002, winner was Sandoegatsj Sjajdoellina. Externe link
