St. Joseph's Church (Wassenaar)

The Saint Joseph Church or Saint Joseph Labor Church (commonly referred to as the block box due to the design of the building) is a Roman Catholic church in Wassenaar.

The parish of St. Joseph was founded in 1930 as a divestment of the Wassenaar parish of St. Willibrord. An emergency church was originally used, which was only replaced in 1962 by the current church building at the Park Avenue.

This church was designed by Jan van der Laan, who was also co-responsible for the Good Shepherd Church in Wassenaar. It is a square hall church, built in the traditionalist style of the Bossche School. Next to the church is a concrete bell tower. The church has a stone font with a lid of copper, crossroad stations from an antique shop in Germany and 18th century hardwood benches. The church has stained-glass windows depicting Jesus, Mary and the patron saint Joseph.

The church has been used to date in the parish of Saint Joseph. 52° 8′ 46″ NB, 4° 24′ 38″ OL
