Pietro Benini


Pietro Benini (1813 - 1895) was an Italian engineer and entrepreneur in the metal industry.

The father of Paschal Benini, the foundry of the Pignone, has begun to continue its development.

In 1855 he joined his business as the director of the Follonica factory, where he demonstrated his technical value by making numerous improvements to the production cycle.

In 1856 he made the first engine to burst, following Eugenio Barsanti and Felice Matteucci's design.

It also had a fundamental role in the creation of the Company of High Furnace and Foundry of Piombino

He was vice president of the Opera Society of Florence.
