Australian National Formula (abbreviated to ANF) was a car series that was held in Australia, at the initiative of the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport, between 1964 and 1969. He replaced Formula Libre as the most important automobile in the country .

The Australian National Formula provided single-car cars powered by non-supercharged engines with a capacity not exceeding 2500 cc, fueled by commercial fuel. This pushed the use of engines such as the Coventry Climax FPF more competitive in Formula 1 until the 1961 regulations were modified, which had reduced the maximum displacement to 1500 cm³. Since 1970 the category was renamed Formula 1 Australian (AF1).

The Australian Drivers' Championship (for awarding the CAMS Gold Star award) and the Australian Grand Prix were opened to cars of this category for the entire existence of this formula. The cars of this formula were also used in Formula Tasman. Notemodify wikitesto
