Water War

Water War is a terminology used to describe a conflict between countries, states or groups for access to water resources. The United Nations recognizes that water disputes are the result of the opposite interests of water, public or private consumers. There have been several conflicts in the history of water, though rarely those wars fought for it alone. However, water conflicts arise for several reasons, including territorial disputes, resource struggles, and strategic advantage. These conflicts occur both for fresh water and salted water, and between international borders. However, most of these concern fresh water and this is because the latter is necessary, but limited, and at the center of controversy due to the need to have drinking water. These conflicts mostly exist in areas where there is more water, such as Latin America, or in poor countries but in some water-rich areas such as some African areas (especially the Congo or adjacent areas to large rivers) Notemodify wikitesto
