Investigation Committee for the Protection and Valorisation of Historical, Archaeological, Artistic and Landscape Heritage

The inquiry commission for the protection and enhancement of the historic, archaeological, artistic and landscape heritage presided by Mr Franceschini was established following Law No 310 of 26 April 1964, on a proposal from the Ministry of Public Works Instruction. It operated until 1967.

He carefully surveyed the census and state of cultural heritage in Italy. The product of this work was the emanation of 84 Declarations the first of which contains the notion of "cultural good": "all that constitutes material testimony worthy of civilization". The statements contained a clear and clear complaint about the degradation, the state of neglect, and the low appreciation of the Italian cultural heritage. Bibliografiamodifica wikitesto
