Nico Splinter


Nico Splinter, pseudonym of Nicolaas Jan Speur (Alkmaar, February 4, 1908 - December 28, 1983), was a Dutch text poet.

biography

Splinter began at the age of 21 with writing children's operettes, revues and children's songs. His hand also appeared in daily and weekly magazines. Also adult reporter ran out of his pen. On Sundays, the Sun Day, on Dolf Karelsen's music, was performed by the orchestra Kovacs Lajos in the second half of 1930. He wrote along with well-known composers songs. Still in the pre-TV era, Splinter regularly broadcasted radio broadcasts in West Frisian for VARA, the musical contribution of Jan van den Brink. There were several artists involved, including Splinter's wife, Sanna Klaver. He also wrote texts for radio and television series like The TV Court and Everything on one card. In the 1960s he regularly performed songs (mostly on Van den Brink music) for the chorus of De Krekels and children's choir De Merels, both led by Lo van der Werf.
