Suite nr. 10

Suite No. 10 "KA" is a composition of the Italian Giacinto Scelsi. The work is written for piano solo. The composition consists of seven separate anonymous parts. KA stands for life force; After death, KA goes over to the afterlife.

After his depression, Scelsi returns to the essence of the tone. One of the first works, he simplified the structure after La Nascita del Verbo, are the suites number 8, 9 and 10. His music gets a much more introverted appearance.

The suite begins with a straight-line play of the melody line with the right hand in the center piano register. The music has something away from the quiet music of Morton Feldman, but is more nervous. Occasionally there are "mistakes" in the music line. Over time, these mistakes will prevail. Signing those mistakes has been so clever that, when listening to the recordings from 2005 one can think: Did they make it in the recording? Only when the errors occur in the form of a preview, for example, it is clear that they are in music.

Share two to six thumbnails, with one tone as the central theme. A repeat of one tone in succession creates a threat in music and that is no different. It produces the result of intrusiveness of that one tone. There are short fragments between that one tone, but the main tone always returns. Striking is the part six. The part provides an image of a pianist, who repeatedly stumbles across the same fragment. The bastoon (the central note here) is increasingly harder by frustration and sounds increasingly penetrant, while what's following (the decoration) is getting less and less common in classical music.

Share seven decisions with repeating striking a note; The attacks are also louder so the tone seems to overwhelm. After the climax, the attacks become softer and keep the music abrupt. Discography
