Bafaquan

The Bafaquan (八 法 拳, "Eight Methods Boxing") is a system of Chinese martial arts developed by Li Demao (李德茂) during the Qing Dynasty. It includes fanziquan, paochui, tantui, tongbeiquan, xingyiquan techniques.

The system is based on eight methods ("bafa" 八 法):

From a naked hand form a duilian exercise develops, then studies the weapons such as dao, qiang, and jian. The "bafaqiang" (八 法 枪) uses a daqiang (大 枪, "great launch") and is a specialty of this system. This lancet technique appears in 1909 and brings together yuejiaqiang (岳家 枪, "Yue family launch"), lihuaqiang (梨花 枪, "pear flower launcher") and liuheqiang (六合 枪, "launch of the six coordinates" ) and the "eight" methods mentioned above.

The bafaquan is popular in Shanxi Province, especially in Datong City, Inner Mongolia (Nei Menggu, 内蒙古) Bibliografiamodifica wikitesto Voices correlateemodify wikitesto VCD e DVDmodifica wikitesto
