Tommaso Lisi


Tommaso Lisi (Coreno Ausonio, February 9, 1935) is an Italian poet.

Graduated in philosophy in Rome with a thesis on Benedetto Croce's linguistic thinking, he began his career as a teacher. At the age of 20 he published his first poetry book entitled Parole (Bologna, Ed. Sia, 1955), but achieved a first success only six years later with A little finger (Florence, Vallecchi, 1961) followed by Family Liturgy, (Padua, Rebellato, 1969). Editor of "Democratic State" and "The Cannocchial", his poems appeared on "Cenobio", "The Literary Fair", "Literature and Art Exams", "Gallery"; essays on literary criticism of "Country Evening", "Republican Voices" and "Events". He is the author of works of narrative, among which is the "privata trenodia" de Il probandato, composed of the novels La vocazione (Florence, CDA libri, 1969), Rodolfo (Rome, The Workshop Books, 1976) and Bad Thoughts Minturno's Marina, Caramanica Editore, 1995), "which distorts the pain of missing parents in short shapes of universal transparency and smooth singing, playing on correctiones and panoplys."
