Brian Michael Jenkins


Brian Michael Jenkins (Chicago, 1942) is an American expert in terrorism and transport safety. He advised governments (including the US Department of State and Department of Defense), companies, the Catholic Church, the Church of England and other international organizations about terrorist threats. From 1989 to 1998 he was deputy chairman of security firm Kroll Associates, the company charged with the safety of the World Trade Center in New York at the time of the attacks in 2001. After the 2003 World Trade Center attack, early the owner of the WTC Kroll for an analysis of possible future terrorist attacks at the center and what security measures could be taken. Jenkins led this assignment and concluded that a new assessment was likely. One possible but unlikely threat is that terrorists intentionally fly a plane in the WTC, according to the final analysis.
