It is well known for being one of the top Italian collectors of the early twentieth century.

The painters of Oscar Ghiglia and Mario Puccini painted personally their artistic and commercial growth, to be overwhelmed by the passion of painting.

He then voted for postmodern stylistic modules, but he never had the reputation of the affirmed painter, although he has been most frequently involved in recent years in exhibitions and exhibitions that celebrate the fashions of this artistic movement.

He was a culture man close to the intellectuals of La Voce, as well as a very wealthy man. His merits were therefore linked to an enlightened collec- tion, which aimed to valorize groups not yet in vogue such as postmasters, though his fame consolidated through some important acquisitions by artists such as Cézanne and Van Gogh. It was Sforni to buy in 1910 in Paris, the gardener, who after a series of vicissitudes joined the collection of the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rome.
