Miller-Balsamo

Miller-Balsamo is a historic Italian motorcycle brand founded by the brothers Ernesto, Edgardo and Mario Balsamo. They were initially importers of the American brand Excelsior and British Ariel. In 1921 they produced their own motorcycles. It involved 123 cc two-stroke and 173 cc models with Moser, Python and own headlift engines. In 1924, they brought the Excelsior Bicycle with auxiliary engine to the market, which, however, became unsuccessful. Later there were 248, 348 and 498 cc models with Python four-valve headlamps and from 1934 a 98 cc with Sachs block. In addition, they produced a 246 cc head valve with its own engine block.

During the Second World War, Miller-Balsamo apparently produced, because in those years there were still 98 cc and 200 cc models. Thereafter there were two-stroke of 123 to 246 cc and a 249 cc head valve. After 1950, there were no new models, except a moped that appeared in 1957.
