Self-extinguishing cigarette

The self-extinguishing cigarette is a cigarette designed to extinguish quickly. The European Commission has made this type of cigarette mandatory on 17 November 2011 with the aim of reducing the number of fires (30,000) and killing (500) annually caused by abandoned smearing cigarette tips. Composition

The self-extinguishing cigarette paper contains two thickened tires ("speed thresholds") at the filter level. These bands may consist of cellulose, alginates or polymers such as EVA (polyethylene vinyl acetate).
