Viminaal

Map of Rome with the designation of the hills.

The Viminal (Latin: Viminalis; Italian: Viminal) is the smallest of the Seven Hills of Rome. It is a landmark with a length of about 700 meters, the current surface is about 24 hectares and the height of the hill varies from 50 to 57 meters. He was named for the willow wood that could be found there. The hill is described in Satire 1, 3 of the Roman poet Juvenalis.

On top of the Viminal, there is the palace where the Ministry of the Interior is housed. If you talk about Viminaal today, this ministry is intended. 41° 54′ NB, 12° 30′ OL
