Blu-spec CD

Introduced by Sony Music Entertainment, the Blu-spec CD is a particular burning technique created to enhance the quality of the traditional Audio CD.

Instead of the classic infrared laser, a blue light (the Blu-ray Disc) laser is used for recording data on the master CD. Presumably, the light blue laser creates a more precise data rewrite, resulting in less distortion in optical reading resulting in better audio quality.

A Blu-spec CD is technically just a normal CD that can be played on all CD players and does not require a light blue laser to be read. It's not a Blu-ray Disc. Links externalize the wikitesto
