Massimo Moratti

Massimo Moratti (Bosco Chiesanuova, May 16, 1945) is an Italian petroleum magnet. He is the owner and president of the Serie A football club Internazionale and CEO of SARAS SpA. Life and Career

Massimo is the fourth son of Angelo Moratti, who was the owner and president during the Inters golden age from 1955 to 1968. He has five children. From a young age, the younger Moratti has the ambition to bring Inter back to the heights she once had under her father. He won 1 UEFA Cup (1998), 1 Champions League (2010) 5 Scudetto / Series A (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010), 2 Coppa Italia (2005, 2006) and 3 Supercoppa Italiana (2005, 2006, 2008 ). The 2005/06 Scudetto victory was controversial. Inter finished third in the Serie A but was awarded the title after the penalty of Juventus FC and AC Milan for their involvement in Italy's high profile match-fixing scandal. However, Inter has since grabbed Series A titles in 2006/07 and 2007/08, with an impressive series of 17 consecutive wins, a record that does not fail in the top of European competitions. In 2010, Inter resumed under Massimo's leadership, finally again for the first time after the success of his father's leadership in the early 60's, world champion. A new period of success seems to have arisen and Massimo seems to succeed in following his father's footsteps.

Moratti has spent about $ 300 million in the transfer market, which has only been exceeded by Roman Abramovich from Chelsea FC. There have been nine coaches under his responsibility. The one-after-last coach was Roberto Mancini, who was fired at the end of May 2008 after winning three consecutive national championships. [1] In July 1999, Moratti approved the record amount of € 48 million for the purchase of Spitz Christian Vieri. He has since bought numerous superstars, including Ronaldo, Maicon, Adriano, Hernán Crespo, Zlatan Ibrahimović, Luís Figo, Julio Cruz, Marco Materazzi, Patrick Vieira, Nicolas Burdisso, Juan Sebastian Verón, Wesley Sneijder and Samuel Eto'o.
