Darts, also called Between two fires, is a ball sport that is played a lot at schools in physical education. The game looks like a variation of tag with a ball. The game is played in two teams, each with their own half of the playing field. The party that has the ball tries to hit someone from the other party on the body. The head does not count. The ball must not touch the ground first. When someone is hit, he is finished and is removed from the game. If the ball is caught, the pitcher is eliminated and is removed from the game and usually a teammate of the player who has captured the ball can return to the game.
The game is usually played in such a way that the participants who have been thrown behind the opponent's box have to stand up to offer help to their own team in their own half. Players from their own half and this box may throw the ball at each other. If someone from the back box throws someone off, he is allowed to enter his own half again.

Since 8 August 2011, the Netherlands has its own football team: the DBFN, the abbreviation of DodgeBall Federation Netherlands.
In addition to the DBFN, there has also been the Dutch Dodgeball Association (NDBB) since 2011. The association is based in Amsterdam and is also involved with Ultimate Dodgeball (dodgeball on trampolines) in addition to dodgeball. Since 2017, the NDBB has become a member of the European Dodgeball Federation (EDBF) and has thus also automatically become a member of the World Dodgeball Association (WDA).
Clubs and competition
There are no dodgeball clubs in the Netherlands yet. There is training on a weekly basis in the cities of Haarlem, Zwolle and Leeuwarden. Nederlands team
Since 2017, the Netherlands officially has a Dutch men's and women's team. These teams are part of the Dutch Dodgeball Association (NDBB) and made their international debut during the Central European Championship Dodgeball 2017 in Vienna. This championship is organized by the European Dodgeball Federation (EDBF) In August 2017, the Dutch dodgeball team participated in the "Drafts" and "Mixed" category at the European Dodgeball Championship in Glasgow. The lords finished 6th and the mixed team finished 10th. In the autumn of 2020, the European Championship will take place in the Netherlands and will be organized by the NDBB. The championship is under the auspices of the EDBF.
