Dianxue (点穴, literally Touching Punctuation Points) is a term of Chinese Martial Arts that indicates the art of recognizing and hitting the points that can cause damage to your opponent.
One of the earliest to this method (dianxuefa 点穴 法) is found in the "Wang Zhengnan Epitaph" (王征南 墓志铭 Wang Zhengnan muzhiming). This script distinguishes the vulnerable points of the human body in those causing death (死穴 sixue), those that cause syncope (昏 穴 hunxue) and those that cause mutation (哑穴 yaxue). According to Dengfeng's Shaolinquan's "Dianxuefa" there are 11 points that cause dizziness and fainting, 103 cruelly injuring, 36 causing death (致 晕 11 穴, "致残 103 穴", "致命 36 穴). Chang Dsu Yao in his Meihuaquan program lists 36 total: 9 deaths (死穴 sixue), 9 points that cause fainting (暈 穴 yunxue), 9 causing mutation (啞穴 yaxue), 9 causing paralysis (麻穴 maxue).
A style that makes Dianxue its central point is the Liangyiquan. Notemodify wikitesto Bibliografiamodifica wikitesto Voices correlateemodify wikitesto
