Aurelio Sabattani (Casalfiumanese, October 18, 1912 - Vatican City, April 19, 2003) was an Italian religious and cardinal of the Catholic Church.

Sabattani visited the diocesan seminar of Imola and the Benedetto XV Seminar in Bologna. At the Papal Athenaeum San Apollinare he graduated in both rights, with the dissertation De vita et operibus Alexandri Tartagni de Imola. He was priest dedicated on July 26, 1935. After a short stay at the State Secretariat of the Holy See, he returned to Imola in 1940. Here he became an episcopal chancellor, a lecturer at the seminar and later canon of the chapter of the cathedral of Bologna. On January 31, 1955, he was appointed auditor at the Sacra Rota Romana.

On June 24, 1965, Pope Paul VI named him the Titular Archbishop of Giustiniana Prima and to Prelate of Loreto and Papal Delegate of the Sanctuary of the Holy House in Loreto. In 1971 he resigned and became a secretary of the Supreme Court of the Apostolic Signature and vicar of the Cardinal-Saint Philip of Saint Peter's Basilica. On May 17, 1982, Pope John Paul II appointed him as the pre-prefect of the Apostolic Signature and Vice-President of the Court of Appeal.

During the consistory of February 2, 1983, he was created cardinal. He received the Sant'Apollinare all Terme Neroniane-Alessandrine as the title band. He immediately became a prefect of the Supreme Court, St. Pieter's St. Patrick's Priest and President of the Church of St. Peter's Church. In 1991, he resigned from all his duties, due to his age.
