Omar Abdul Hamid Karami (An Nouri, September 7, 1934 - Beirut, January 1, 2015) was a Lebanese politician. He was Prime Minister of Lebanon twice.

Karami was born in the northern city of An Nouri, not far from Tripoli, in what time the French Mandate was Syria. He was the son of Abdul Hamid Karami and the brother of Rashid Karami, both politicians. He represented Tripoli in the National Assembly since 1991. He was a follower of Syria's presence in Lebanon.

For the first time, he was prime minister from 24 December 1990 until 13 May 1992. This was the first cabinet after the Lebanese Civil War (1975-1990); On December 10, 1990, the fighting militias evacuated Beirut after fifteen years. With Karami joining, there was also an end to a two-year period that Lebanon had two governments.

On October 21, 2004, he followed Rafik Hariri, who resigned in a crisis surrounding the presidential elections. Syria wanted an extension of the mandate of President Emile Lahoud, which caused tensions in Beirut to rise.

After the assassination of Hariri, a few months later, protesters and western countries gave Syria the blame for the attack. The protesters demanded the departure of the Pro-Syrian Karami as well as an investigation into the death of Hariri and the departure of Syrian troops. Karami decided to resign on February 28, and was asked by President Émile Lahoud to remain a deputy prime minister.

After a massive pro-Syria demonstration on March 9, Karami was again appointed by Prime Minister the next day. However, Karami did not succeed in forging a new government team and so he finished on April 13th. He was succeeded by Najib Mikati, who organized early elections. Karami no longer participated in these elections.
