Tacit trading

For tacit trade, the coastal / maritime commercial system developed by the Phoenicians used in the Mediterranean Sea for the exchange of goods with unknown populations.

It consisted of arriving with the ship near the coast, descending and depositing its goods on the beach, then following the ship waiting for the response of the visited population of goods to be offered as an exchange of equal value or higher. If the Phoenicians returned to the coast later, they accepted the exchange or resumed their goods and left. The Phoenicians remained on the ship one day, expecting a counter-response from the visited population. If exchange was not enough, they waited another day giving the coastal population the opportunity to change or add goods. Bibliografiamodifica wikitesto Voices correlateemodify wikitesto
