The Royal Antwerp Bicycle Club, usually abbreviated as RABC, is the oldest Belgian cycling club. The organization, a non-profit organization, was founded in Antwerp on March 31, 1882. History
On May 31, 1882, seven Antwerp youth decided to take a cycling trip from Antwerp to Lier. Arrived in the Net City this seventh at the casino founded the Antwerp Bicycle Club.
The absolute sporting peak was 1957, when RABC with Rik Van Steenbergen, Louis Proost and Yvonne Reynders preferred three world champions in her grades.
In 1969, the RABC was split into a riders division and a cycling tourist section. The cyclist tourist department settled in Brasschaat and joined the cradle of the triathlon sport in Belgium. In 1983 she organized one of the first triathlon matches in Belgium, won by RABC member and multiple Belgian champion triathlon Wilfried Van Aken, who participated in the Ironman Hawaii in the same year.
