Ureotine animals have the property of eliminating amine nitrogen in the form of urea, a chemical compound of formula CO (NH2) 2. We can distinguish three main categories of excretion in the subphylum of vertebrates: ammoniotheitis, ureotheitis and uricotheitis. This differentiation is largely based on the availability of water that animals use to dilute their nitrogenous products. Ammoniacetics produce substances that are rather toxic to the body such as ammonia, so they need plenty of water to dilute the waste without being damaged. Tendentially, much of the aquatic organisms are ammoniacal, like many fish. Ureotics produce substances such as urea that are diluted in a stock of water stored in a bladder, such as mammals and many adult amphibians, which in the larval phase are ammoniacal as many fish. Uricotelics produce less acidic substances such as uric acid and they have almost no water loss that is reabsorbed just before excretion, for example, many sauropsids (birds and reptiles, mostly squamed).
