In the United States Government, the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs (originally the Chinese Office of Foreign Affairs) is part of the United States Department of State and is tasked with advising the Secretary of State United States of America and the State Secretary for Political Affairs in the Asia-Pacific Region, and settle with US foreign policy and US relations with the countries in that area.
