Wolfgang Glüxam


Wolfgang Glüxam (Milk, Austria, 1958) is an Austrian organist and clavecinist. Lifecycle

Glüxam studied organ at the Vienna Music School at Alfred Mitterhofer and clover cymbals at Ton Koopman at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam.

In 1979 he won the Fourth Prize in the International Organ Concert, held in Bruges in the context of the Festival Musica Antiqua. In 1980 he was laureate at Nijmegen International Organ Contest.

Since 1985, Glüxam was a teacher of clover cymbals at the Vienna Music Union.

As a soloist or together with his musical partners (Patrick Ayrton, Erich Höbarth, Hiro Kurosaki, Pierre Pitzl, Helge Stiegler) he performed numerous concerts in Europe, Latin America and Japan.

The Austrian radio has several recordings, including Mozart's Sonates à Quatre Mains, together with Patrick Ayrton. Discography
