As a young man he was an exponent of Julian-Dalmatian irredentists, and therefore persecuted by the Austrians. He moved to Naples and thanks to the help of Gabriele d'Annunzio and Edoardo Scarfoglio he began collaborating with Il Mattino as a theatrical critic.

Founded and directed from 1899 to 1901 the cultural magazine Flegrea. From the beginning with fascism I set off and in 1925 Mussolini wanted to become the director of the Parthenopean headquarters. Upload that Forster kept up to 1928.
