BdB Bank

The BdB Bank (Bank of Bond Savings Banks) was a coup for the savings banks in the 1970s. Until the establishment of this bank, most savings banks were more or less independent. When the Dutch Bank raised higher demands in terms of professionalism and solvency in 1970, some of these savings banks sought each other, which resulted in the establishment of the BdB Bank, which offered a large number of facility services (including automation) to the affiliated banks. It was the counterpart of the then VSB Bank (United Savings Bank). The VSB banks were mainly located in the west of the Netherlands and the Bondsspaar banks in the east of the Netherlands.

The BdB Bank was originally located at the Singel in Amsterdam and moved to Amsterdam Zuidoost at the end of the 80s to the Centrepoint building on the Hoogoorddreef. The BdB Bank entered the SNS Bank in the summer of 1991, after which all Bond Savings Banks changed their name changes.

A part of the BdB Bank has entered the SNS Bank branch of Amersfoort and another part has entered the SNS Bank headquarters in 's-Hertogenbosch.
