Micro Machines was a line of automotive models originally produced by Galoob (subsequently absorbed by Hasbro) since the mid-1980s and all through the nineties until 2006. Galoob acquires the Micro Machines license from Clem Heeden, a Wisconsin Toys inventor.
Particularities of the Micro Machines were their size, considerably smaller than those of traditional models, and often with wheels that are not proportional to the rest of the machine. Truck models, motorcycles, trains, airplanes, helicopters and boats were also produced over time, as well as reproductions of science-fiction vehicles such as Star Wars, Star Trek or Power Rangers. Various plays and variants of Micro Machines were also marketed, such as the Insiders (a model in the other, like a kind of matrioska). Subsequently, the Micro Machines brand was also used for a number of video games.
In Italy Micro Machines were first distributed by Hasbro and then by Rocco Toys since 2005.
