André, a laborious and efficient worker, is hired by engineer Gustavo Eiffel for the construction of a state-commissioned tower. The worker is assumed to never reveal tower information to anyone, since Gustavo wants to build beyond the size of the initial project.

When the tower reaches the height of 300 meters, Gustavo dismisses the workers who want to go home and continue with the others, who settle on the tower, due to the long downhill and climb times. An artificial white cloud hides the actual height of the tower.

Workers continue to build long after the death of Gustavo Eiffel, but police, by state order, demolish the part of the tower over 300 meters and inaugurate it. Bibliografiamodifica wikitesto
