The Bureau of Nations Nations, Burundi (BINUB), was a United Nations peacekeeping operation in Burundi. The mandate was given in Security Council Resolution 1719 on October 25, 2006.
BINUB was the successor to ONUB, whose mandate expired on December 31, 2006. medal
The Secretary-General of the United Nations did not submit a United Nations Peace Missions Medal for the participants in BINUB. Instead, the participants get the United Nations Medal. This medal is awarded to soldiers and police officers. For ONUB, the ONUB Medal was set.
