Ottavio Leoni (Rome, 1578 - Rome, 1630) was an Italian painter and artist from the early Baroque, especially active in Rome.

Leoni was initially trained by his father, Lodovico Leoni. He painted altar pieces for Roman churches such as an Annunciation for the Sant'Eustachio, a Virgin and Child with Saint Giacinto for Santa Maria della Minerva, and Saint Carlo, Francesco e Nicola for Sant 'Urbano. He became a member and later chairman of the academy of the Accademia di San Luca. In addition to his altar pieces, Ottavio Leoni made a number of portraits of artists and scientists. Media files
