Emich Karel van Leiningen
Emich Karel van Leiningen (Dürckheim, 27 September 1763 - Amorbach, July 4, 1814) was the only son of Karel Frederik Willem, the Count of Leiningen-Dagsburg-Hartenburg, and Christiane Wilhelmine Luise of Solms-Rödelheim and Assenheim.
From 1779 his father became the ruler of the Holy Roman empire and became Emich's inheritance of Leiningen. In 1807 Emich followed his father as second prince of Leiningen. He had no real power because the Principality of Leiningen came to the Grand Duchy of Baden in 1806. Marriages
Emich married 4 July 1787 with Henriette (1767-1801), the youngest daughter of Heinrich XXIV, Count of Reuss-Ebersdorf and Countess Caroline Ernestine of Erbach-Schönberg. Together they had one son Frederik Karl Henrich Ludwig, born in 1793 and already died in 1800.
After the death of his first wife, Emich regretted on December 21, 1803 with Victoria of Saxony-Coburg-Saalfeld, she was the daughter of French of Saxony-Coburg-Saalfeld and Augusta of Reuss-Ebersdorf and Lobenstein, the latter a sister of his first wife.
The couple got two children:
Karel died in 1814. Victoria reigned on May 29, 1818 with Eduard August, Duke of Kent. They received a daughter:
