The uprising began on 1 January 1933 in several places at the same time as different bomb explosions. In addition to violent actions, the work was laid down in many places. Initially, the uprising broke out in Asturias and Andalucia, a few days later, violent situations also arose in Catalonia and Valencia. Over a few weeks bombs across the country explode and other violent confrontations took place between actors and spokesmen. The authorities responded to the uprising with hard hand.
On January 11, Casas Viejas in the province of Cádiz found a collision between anarchists and the authorities, involving 21 deaths. The Spanish public opinion was shocked because the Guardia Civil fused after inhabitants of the village, including some who had nothing to do with the confrontation, and even the assignment had to burn the village to the ground, which eventually did not happen.
