Lageveensemolen

The Lageveensemolen is a polder mill from 1890 in the Dutch municipality of Lisse. The mill was built for the painting of the Low-Polish polder. The predecessor of this mill was moved twice: once in 1657 at the construction of the Leidsevaart (the route between Haarlem and Leiden) and once in 1842 at the construction of the Haarlem-The Hague railway line. The current mill dates back to 1890 and replaced its predecessor who burned in that year. The Lageveensemolen is owned by the Rijnlandse Molenstichting. The mill can be viewed by appointment.

The mill has the status of national monument. 52° 15′ 51″ NB, 4° 31′ 31″ OL
