Timothée de Fombelle (April 17, 1973) is a French writer and playwright. In the Dutch-speaking area, he is known as the author of the youth books around Tobie Lolness. Lifecycle

In 1990, Timothée de Fombelle founded a theater company Troupe des Bords de Scene for seventeen years, for which he writes and directs the theater. In 2006, he debuted with a youth novel Tobie Lolness - La vie suspendue, translated as Tobie Lolness - On The Run. He receives a series of French and international prizes for this book. In the Dutch language area he wins the Silver Griffon with this first youth novel in 2008.

The story of Tobie Lolness takes place in a mini-world: a big oak, the characters are only one and a half millimeters. The book contains an ecological message, but the emphasis is mainly on the personality's adventure and feelings.

The sequel to the first part of the adventures of Tobie Lolness, The Eyes of Elisha, was published in 2008.

In France the first part of a new series about the boy Vango will appear in France. In the Netherlands it appears in 2011 under the title Vango. Between heaven and earth. The book takes place in the years before the Second World War and describes the adventures of a boy suspected of murder and constantly on the run. His journey takes him all over the world, from Brazil to Scotland, and he travels among other things with a zeppelin. Bibliography Congratulations
