Dominica's Award of Honor is an award of Dominica, an island state in the Caribbean.
The honor mark set in 1967 is the highest award for the Republic of Dominica's merit. It replaced the British honors such as the Order of the British Empire, which until then was also granted to Dominica. The embellishment is an elaborate oval medallion with a weapon carried by two parrots inside a ring called "THE DOMINICA AWARD OF HONOUR". The award is given to a yellow ribbon with a white-black and white centerline around the neck.
In 1985, Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom was distinguished with this decoration during her official visit to her former nationals. Externe link
