Ikken hissatsu

Ikh Hissatsu (一拳 必殺) is a common term in traditional karate school that attempts to define the overall efficiency of striking techniques, which means "just knock". This, however, does not mean that any collision needs to be resolved with the use of a single blow, but it means that karateka should have the courage to quickly resolve the clash, it should be so concentrated to make it dead or almost any blow. During a fight, though it's just a sporting competition, the load of adrenaline in the blood is higher than normal, which can create a false perception of reality, causing injuries that are felt only well after the end of the fight. So a shot that would normally be enough to trample a person sometimes goes unnoticed because the states of both contenders have changed.

Karate has been modeled so that a person can face more than one opponent at the same time. This point, however, with the advent of sports karate has been forgotten. What determines if a shot is enough to quickly end a fight is just the wrestling formation, not its strength, despite the strength needed to make the techniques used in the fight effective.
