discharge procedures

The decharger is an electronic device specially used in modeling, in order to remedy a frequent disadvantage in the use of accumulators, whether nickel-cadmium (Ni-Cd) or Lithium polymers (Li-Po). / p>

Once the batteries are used, before the next recharging, the residual voltage should be discharged with the decharger without falling below a certain threshold beyond which it would be impossible to perform an additional charge.

These devices are comprised of an accumulator current absorbing component, an electronic control circuit and in most cases a zener diode, the latter key component to limit the absorption below of a certain threshold.

Those on the market are very expensive but are easy to build with few electronic components and a bit of DIY experience.
