Fred Diamond (November 19, 1964) is an American mathematician. His research focuses on modular forms and Galois representations

Diamond studied at the University of Michigan. He obtained his bachelor's degree in 1983, after which he graduated from Andrew Wiles at the University of Princeton in 1988. He is a professor at the King's College in London.

Together with Christophe Breuil, Brian Conrad and Richard Taylor, Diamond worked on evidence of Taniyama-Shimura's full suspicion. They thus generalized the work of Andrew Wiles and Richard Taylor, which was sufficient to prove Fermat's last statement. Working Externe link
