Tetteh Adzedu (Odumasi Krobo, 1949) is a Ghanaian fashion designer. biography

Adzedu initially taught tailor-made and then studied for fashion designer. He has focused on the design of exclusively African tunics for men in his career. He sells his work under the fashion brand Adzedu of Shapes. Despite adhering to the techniques of the haute couture, he is aware that he has not lost sight of the social dimension of clothing.

He has been of major importance for the revaluation of fashion from both Ghana and other African countries, including his role as president of the Ghana Fashion Designers Association. In this role, he promoted the economic position, especially the craftsmen from the Ghanaian textile industry, such as the weavers and couturiers, and helped to create their own contemporary fashion traditions.

In 1998 he, together with two other African fashion designers, Oumou Sy from Senegal and Alphadi from Mali, won the Prince Claus Prize in the theme of The Art of African Fashion. Externe link
