Bruno Tattaglia

Bruno Tattaglia is a fictional character found in Mario Puzo's The Godfather and the first part of Francis Ford Coppola's The Godfather trilogy of films. He also appeared in The Godfather: The Game, where the player kills him in an act of vengeance. In the film he was played by actor Tony Giorgio. Rol in The Godfather

Bruno is the son and boss of Philip Tattaglia, head of one of the Five Families. Together with business partner Virgil Sollozzo, he strikes the first battle with the Corleone family by helping to kill Corleone Enforcer Luca Brasi. However, the attempts of the family to kill Don Vito Corleone fail. Vito's son Sonny Corleone and his men killed Bruno as revenge. The death of Bruno (as well as Sonny's death later) is helpful to ask Don Tattaglia and Don Corleone to end their conflict.

Despite Bruno being credited as Tattaglia's subordinate, he is very dissatisfied in the book and disapproves of his father's prostitution. This would make him a less likely candidate for substitute, just like the fact that he is Philips youngest son, as in the book. John Tattaglia, in the novel, is on Sonny's vendetta list, and is presumably Philips real underwear. In The Godfather: The Game, the player (Aldo Trapani) is asked by Tessio to perform an optional hit on Johnny Tattaglia who is one of Philip's sons.

Bruno's death is not seen in the film (although Sal Tessio says: We killed Bruno Tattaglia at 4 pm), but in The Godfather: The Game, Bruno's main character threw into an oven to burn him as revenge for the murder of Aldo Trapani's girlfriend, Frankie Malone.
