Verner W-1 Broucek

2012: the W-1 Brouček in the Luchtvaartmuseum Kbely 2012 2010

The Verner W-1 Brouček (Brouček means Beetle) is a Czechoslovak aircraft designed and built by Vladislav Verner. It's a one-man, a single-engine low cover. Verner, a staff member of VZLÚ, built the device in its own right. The W-1 is the first plane built in Czechoslovakia by someone in-house after the Second World War. The first flight took place in April 1970, with Rudolf Duchon on the steering wheel. Only one W-1 has been built, with OK-YXA as a registration.
