Atlantic Commission

Since its establishment in 1952, the Atlantic Commission is a forum for public debate on transatlantic security issues. It provides information and stimulates research on issues such as the relations between Europe and the United States, developments in NATO and European security issues. The Atlantic Commission hereby wishes to promote the social debate on these issues.

Manage

The Atlantic Commission Foundation has a Daily and a General Board, in which the Executive Board is a member of the Executive Board. The Executive Board meets at least four times a year and the General Board shall meet at least three times a year. In the Daily and General Management, all major political movements of the Netherlands and the most involved scientific disciplines are represented. These controls ensure the independence of the Atlantic Commission. Collaboration

The Atlantic Commission is collaborating with government agencies, political institutions, scientific institutes and non-governmental organizations at home and abroad and ad hoc with business. This cooperation contributes to the organization of national and international conferences. Finally, the Atlantic Commission initiates the development of third-party activities in the field of international and national security issues and advises them in the design and implementation of projects in the above-mentioned area. Atlantic Perspective

Atlantic Perspective is the magazine of the Atlantic Commission. At the Atlantic Perspective, which appears eight times a year, attention is paid to (current) developments in international relations and security policy. In addition to articles, Atlantic Perspective also contains a section on Atlantic News, which provides an overview of transatlantic relations, European security and Dutch foreign and defense policy.

The Atlantic Commission also publishes other publications. In addition to Atlantic Perspective, conference reports, study reports, books and educational publications appear. Jonge Atlantic

The youth department of the Atlantic Commission, the Young Atlantists, focuses specifically on students, students and young professionals. Young Atlantists aim to raise awareness of and involve students and young people in joint security issues of the United States and Europe. It is a platform for dialogue on the future of NATO, both for young people in the Netherlands and in other NATO and PfP countries. To achieve this, Young Atlantists organize various national and international events aimed at a younger generation, and also collaborate with a large number of partner organizations. Young Atlantists are therefore open to proposals for new activities, insofar as they are consistent with the objective of the organization. Young Atlantists is also the official Dutch representative at the Youth Atlantic Treaty Association (YATA). Externe link
