There is a character in Greek mythology, born of Evadne, daughter of Poseidon, and god Apollo. (In ancient Greek Ἴαμος / Íamos, by ἴον / íon "violetta")
The story tells us that the god, dazzled by the beauty of Evadne, married Epito King of the Acads, paired with her. The woman could not hide the fact of her husband, who went to Delphi's oracle to find out what he should do to the unborn.
Time after the girl conceived a child who abandoned Mount Alfeo and was guarded for five days by two snakes feeding him with honey. Epito discovered the child's origins and went looking for him, finding him in a bush surrounded by violets, from which he took the name.
From the time there was born the dynasty of Olympians, guitars and prophets of Olimpia.
